High Performance Gear Oils

Trojan gear box lubricants provide a very wide selection of gear fluids designed for all kinds of gear boxes, speed reducers, in all types of operating conditions from extreme temperature applications to extreme shock loading pressure applications. They are designed as industrial specialty gear lubricants to be used where conventional gear lubricants fall short or fail.

TRL # 154

TRL # 154 is a multi-grade (85/140) enclosed gear oil. Polymer fortified, TRl 154 replaces inventories of multiple single grade gear oils. Its resistance to breakdown reduces oil changes.

SPECIAL BENEFITS:
TRL 154 is an extreme pressure gear oil designed to meet the demanding requirements for all types of closed gears, summer or winter. It contains extreme pressure additives, corrosion inhibitors, anti-waer additives, anti-foam additives, oxidation inhibitors, dispersant additives, pour point depressants. TRL 154 does not thin out in summer and provides proper oil flow in winter. It maintains low operating gear temperatures. It can be used on all types of enclosed gears including: spur, worm, hyphoid, spiral bevel, helical, and planetary gears where extreme pressure exists.

Typical Properties of TRL 154

TRL # 155

TRL #155 is a multi-grade (80/90) enclosed gear oil. Similar to TRL #154 (above), this products provides a narrower operating range for a multi-grade. TRL 155 meets U.S. MIL specification MIL-L-2105C, for use in spur, hyphoid, spiral bevel, helical and planetary gears where extreme pressure exists.
Typical Properties of TRL 155

TRL # 153

TRL # 153 is a multi-grade (80/90) molybenum disulfide fortified, polymer gear oil. It is similar to the TRL 155 (above) but contains moly disulfide for extra anti-wear and load carring capabilities.
Typical Properties of TRL 153

TRL # 159

TRL # 159 is a multi-grade (85/140) molybdenum disulfide fortified, polymer gear oil. It is similar to the TRL 154 (above) but contains moly disulfide for additional anti-wear and load carying capabilities.
Typical Properties of TRL 159

TRL # 151 Arctic

Arctic gear oil #151 is a multi-grade (75/90) polymer fortified, low temperature, extreme pressure gear oil, designed for use in extreme low operating conditions. It is recommended for lubrication of all types of enclosed gears including, spur, helical, planetary, rack & pinion, bevel, spiral bevel, herringbone and worm gears.

TRL 151 is formulated from highly refined multi-grade base oils, fortified with extreme pressure additives, with high viscosity indicies. It extends lubrication life, reduces maintenance costs while keeping gearboxes free of sludges. It protects gears from moisture damage, prevents emulsion formations with water and prevents gear tooth damage from welding, and scuffing of shock loading. It is effective to - 42 degrees C, making it an ideal gear lubricant for low temperature, extreme pressure applications.

Typical Properties of TRL 151

TRL # 217-224

TRL series 217 through 224 are single grade, high performance molybdenum disufide fortified, polymer gear oils, with ISO viscosities for 68 to 1500. These are extreme pressure lubricants designed for industrial gear drives under normal, medium and heavy duty or shock loaded conditions. Being moly disulfide fortified on highly refined base oils, these gear oils show superior resistance to oil breakdown, withstand high temperatures for longer periods of time, minimize sludge and varnish build-ups while extending equipment lifespans.

TRL 217 - 2224 gear oils provide excellent film strength, low co-efficients of friction and high lubricity, reducing gear rolling and sliding resistance. Excellent water separability prevents emulsion formations while the low foaming tendencies ensure a continuous film. TRL 217-224 may be applied by oil bath, splash, feed circulation or oil mist systems.

Typical Properties of TRL 217-224

TRL # 238-244

TRL series 238 through 244 are high performance (non moly) polymer gear oils of single viscosity grades of ISO 68 to 1500. These are designed for equipment where molybdenum disulfide is non tolerable. These gear oils are similar in nature to the TRL 217 - 224 series but with extra polymer and no molybdenum.
Typical Properties of TRL 238 - 244
